The Rainforest Express
The Rainforest Express trip was at the Waitakereis. And this is what I learned.
We learnt how water gets from the dam to our taps. The water gets into the pipes that go to the purifier. After the treatment it goes through more pipes that lead to our pipes.Then it goes to our taps where we drink out of.
Water is used for lots of things and for us.
Goals
My maths goal is to practice my x10, x100, x1000.
My writing goal is to get a dictionary to help me spell.
My reading goal is to highlight the main points.
My key competency goal is to relate to others.
Holiday time
On the school holiday my family and I went to Rotarua and Taupo.
Firstly we had to book in the activities and shows.
We traveled down to Rotarua and went to see Te Pui.
We saw lots of geysers.
Next we went lugeing.
We went on hills and sharp corners.
It was really cool!!!!
Next we went to Taupo.
We went to the Agrodome.
We saw lots of animals like sheep,horses,cows goats,alpacas,emus,lamas and more!!!!!!
The next day we went home.
Making Masks
We made masks with Melanie from Maskworx. We needed lots of parent help cutting out our masks and ideas for our chosen masks.
This is how you make a mask.
1.For an example I will use the myth of Rangi and Papa.
2.Cut out the basic shape of the mask that you are doing.
3.Paint/spray paint the mask.
4.Add on any patterns on your mask.
5.Any objects that you can use it will look great!!!!!
6.Add in any big objects like moons or stars.
7. If you put wet paper on your mask you will have to let it dry.
8.Now you have your own mask!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You can have a parade or anything with it.
